The Climate Schools Combined (CSC) Project
The CSC study is being run by a team of researchers at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre at the University of New South Wales, in conjunction with
the University of Queensland, Deakin University and the National Drug Research Institute at Curtin University.
The CSC study aims to investigate the effects of an internet-based substance use and mental health prevention program for adolescents. To do this we ran a cluster
randomised control trial with NSW, QLD and WA high school students. Three follow-up surveys to be completed between 2018 and 2021 will assess the long-term effectiveness
of the program as students make the transition from high school into young adulthood.
The CSC study is funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council and has been
approved by the University of New South Wales Human Ethics Committee (UNSW HREC HC13073)
