The Climate Schools Combined (CSC) Project
The CSC study is being run by a team of researchers at the Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use at the University of Sydney, in conjunction with the University of Queensland, Deakin University, the University of New South Wales and the National Drug Research Institute at Curtin University.
The CSC study aims to investigate the effects of an internet-based substance use and mental health prevention program for adolescents. To do this we ran a cluster
randomised control trial with NSW, QLD and WA high school students. Three follow-up surveys to be completed between 2018 and 2021 will assess the long-term effectiveness
of the program as students make the transition from high school into young adulthood.
The CSC study is funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council and Australian Rotary Health. This research has been approved by The University of Sydney Human Research Ethics Committee (USYD HREC 2018/906)
